Rescued by a stranger.
Haunted by a secret
Sometimes, love isn’t easy…

He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…

The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.

Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love.

A groundbreaking novel in the New Adult genre, Easy faces one girl's struggle to regain the trust she's lost, find the inner strength to fight back against an attacker, and accept the peace she finds in the arms of a secretive boy.

My take…
This is my first book by Webber and I must say that I was taken with the story, the characters, and her writing. In fact, I went ahead and started another one of hers books right away.

Let’s talk about some of the guys from EASY shall we?

Lucas. Well hello new book boyfriend. Where did you come from? Lucas is sexy, mysterious, and even a little angst-y. Everything that Jacqueline doesn’t need right now but is ever so tempting. Many, many times I wanted to crawl into the book and hug him. I hurt for him much. Landon. Another great contender for book boyfriend. We don’t see him; just get to imagine what he looks like via his sweet and humorous emails. He is the smart, brainy type that would be the safe option for Jacqueline.  Kennedy. Douchbag and a$$hat. I was not happy with him what so ever. Moving on. Buck. Another doucher that got it handed to him at the start of the book, but it obviously didn’t sink in. Apparently he is in need of another butt kicking.

Now the gals.

Jacqueline. Love a character that starts off a little vulnerable and becomes stronger as time goes on. But not so strong she becomes someone the reader can no longer relate to. I am just not a huge fan of those overly strong and assertive female characters in stories. There is no connection for me. Erin. Devoted BFF. How can you not love her? She is one of my most favorite secondary characters I have come across since GOING UNDER by Georgia Cates.  Remember Payton? Yep, Erin is just like her.

One thing that got me was when Webber would have Jacqueline recall a scene. It seemed like she did it too much throughout the book. Sometimes I think it would be simpler to just do the scene and not ‘remember’ it. I know, I know. I am probably the one only who got a little bothered by this, but not enough to stop me from rating it less than 5 stars.

Fan of romance? Pick up EASY today and indulge in its goodness. I highly recommend it and think you will love it as much as I did.
