Back in May HuffingtonPost.com posted The 11 Most Surprising Banned Books.
Some of these surprised me! Like Sylvester and the Magic Pebble by William Steig. I read that as a child and even read it to my own children. Want to know why?? Illinois Police Association, along with 11 other states tried to have it banned cause the police in the story were protrayed as pigs. Ok, well seeing as its an ANIMAL book!!! Really people?!
