Last night Barnes and Noble hosted a reading/signing with Lauren Kate, author of the new book Torment.
It was my first signing...and I was very relieved there were so many older women there. Its was alot of fun though and Lauren Kate is so sweet and nice.
She did answer some questions about Fallen series being made into a movie. Yes, it has been optioned by Disney...which to our relief it will not be a cartoon LOL! Can you picture Luce as the next Disney Princess? *ponders this*
Anywhoooo...she said that when sitting down and talking about some people for casting that Liam Hemsworth was mentioned for Daniel. I can see that.
Now I love Twilight as much as the next twifan..but I have read sooo many books since then. So with the Twilight Sage Movies coming to an end next fall...I am ready for some new movies based on all the books I have read. I know alot have been optioned out but I wish they would get a move on!!

Awesome! I'm so glad to hear about one of her signing's because I missed seeing her here. I had to work that day! It was last Saturday and the whole day of work was torture because I was 'suppose' to be at her signing! Of course if I'd gone to the signing I would have spent money (lots of it since it was at Powells) and at work I made money (which we need). So it was clear I had to skip this one :( :( But hopefully next time!
ReplyDeleteAs far as movies go I'm not a HUGE fan of books being made into movies, but sometimes it works and it's nice to see them, rather then picture them. I think this series would do okay as movie's, but I'm not sure. I always hate that they pick ugly guys to play the hot guys. Not sure who that guy is mentioned but I'll look him up.
