On the tails of Myra McEntire's Hourglass series getting optioned and Cynthia Hand's Unearthly going to CW as a tv show....
Now we have Maggie Stiefvater's The Scorpio Races joining in on the fun!
From TheHollywoodReporter...
"Warner Bros has picked up the movie rights to The Scorpio Races, a young adult fantasy novel
by Maggie Stiefvater for David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith’s KatzSmith Productions
to produce."
So what do you think of all your favorites going to the big screen or your living room tv? Do you fear they might, and possibly will, mess with what made us love the books in the first place?
With the right director Scorpio Races can be a fantastic movie. It is such an atmospheric book that it could be beautiful if done right. Not only that, but it wouldn't be too much of an issue to age the main characters up.
ReplyDeleteI am very interested to see what they do with a TV show of Unearthly.
