My Take...
Charlotte is back in Charleston after being gone for 3 years; going to live at her family’s home with her older brother and uncle. One thing keeps bugging her…the gate in the backyard that she was forbidden to enter as a child. And once she enters she soon realizes why. Things are different behind the gate; it’s a whole other world. At first entering she meets Calvin and has an instant connection to him. All she knows is that he is all she has ever wanted and needed. But things are not what they seem in this new world. She learns some people only want to use her. Will her brother get to her in time to save her or will it all be too late?
I enjoyed the switching of POV’s between Charlotte and her brother Kevin, but would have loved to have had Liam’s POV. Liam is an absolute doll! I hope there will be more of him in book 2. I am sensing potential there with him and Charlotte. Give Beckoning Light a chance I can almost guarantee you will be smitten with it.
