Top 10 with Author Kate Avery Ellison

I would like to welcome Kate Avery Ellison to the blog today for Top 10!! I just recently finished her amazing, intense book Frost. So if you haven't read it yet...do so please!
(the review posted today on the blog for your veiwing pleasure)

1. fav song/singer?Hard to say! I really like the bands Poets of the Fall and Florence + the Machine. I also really like Adele.
2. fav season?Fall. It's the best time for writing :)
3. worst vacation?Once my whole family went camping, and everything kind of went wrong. I got sick. The bathrooms were nasty and we had no showers. It rained for half of the vacation. Our tent had a hole in it and our sleeping bags got wet. I had to pee in the woods because it was too long of a hike to the bathrooms in the middle of the night. Oh, and there were bears, so we had to lock up our food and I was scared I was going to be mauled. :)
But I love hanging out with my family, so all the other parts weren't so bad.
4. guilty pleasure?Dancing and singing to boy band songs. :) Not so much a guilty pleasure as an embarrassing one, maybe.
5. fav book and/or author?
Another hard one! Robin McKinley, Megan Whalen Turner, John Green, and Maureen Johnson are some of my favorite YA authors.
6. one item you cannot live without?Probably my laptop (and internet). I do all of my writing and design and most of my socializing with it.
7. hobby?Gardening
8. fav movie/actor/actress?
I don't have a favorite actress per se, but right now I'm a huge fan of Jennifer Lawrence. She's extremely talented AND hilarious and sweet in all her interviews.
9. fav food?Mac 'n Cheese!
10. who would you like to meet? (dead or alive?)I'd love to hang out with some of my favorite writers, like Robin McKinley, Maureen Johnson, Megan Whalen Turner, etc. I also think it would be really fun to meet some TV writers I admire, like JJ Abrams, Julie Plec, Damon Lindelof, etc.

You know I never thought about actually meeting a TV writer before...but once you mentioned Julie Plec I thought it would be fun to pick her brain. Her and Kevin Williamson as some talented writers with all that they do...especially my fav show...TVD!
Now that you know a little more about the author behind Frost, I think it's time you go get it for yourself...
