goodreads...
Ten years, the Atlantic Ocean, and several rungs in society have kept Xavier Cain from having Sophia Montel. Now twenty-seven, he’s spent his entire adult life building a fashion empire that could finally prove his worth to her family. When fate reunites him with Sophia at London’s premiere fashion show, one problem lodges in Xavier’s path: Sophia doesn’t remember him.

The only obstacle that has kept Sophia from Xavier is a horrific car crash that erased her memory at seventeen. She’s spent the last ten years fighting to reclaim a sliver of her past that her mother refuses to help her remember. When Sophia meets Xavier at the London show, however, all her fantasies come to life in one night of passion. Discovering he is the missing link, she is determined to find all the pieces to their love story and her memory.

Xavier wants forever. Sophia wants her memory. If they take this chance, they’ll have to start over. How far are they willing to go get what they want? And when the past catches up to them, can they handle the truths it has hidden?

My take...
This was a great love story for me. Imagine it...one guy willing to do whatever it takes to find the girl he loves; the one girl that has had his heart for the last 10 years. Rising out of poverty...becoming a successful fashion designer...making things happen for himself....all to get to the girl he loves. Whoa! To me that is magical. But he doesn't just stop when he finds her. He risks it all to help her remember him. He takes her back to where it all started for them 10 years before when they were just 2 kids falling hopelessly in love with each other. Only problem they face...is Xavier in love with a memory of that girl from long ago? And can he get Sophia to fall back in love with him for a second time?

This book was so sweet and at times pretty steamy. Not to mention at times it could be a little intense. When Sophia got back a couple of her memories she didn't act the way I thought she would. But she acted in a way that probably anyone in her situation would. I thought when she remembered that she would go running into his arms and all would be right with the world. But in reality, when the memories started sneaking up on her, she actually got spooked and ran.

And as with all my reads, I always have at least one character I would like to slap around a bit; maybe put in a choke hold. Well, with this read I had 2. And they were not the main characters for once. Nope, they were Sophia's mother and grandmother. Even in the end, one did not fully redeem herself in my eyes. Sometimes mothers (and grandmothers) do not always know best.

As for Sophia and Xavier? I was so in love with them. Both are wonderful characters that I was hurting for at times. They had been through so much and even lost things they didn’t even know they had. Again, this point brings me back to Sophia’s mother and grandmother. You will understand when you read it.

I am so thankful that Traci @ Omnific Publishing gave me the chance to review it. I loved this quick, romantic read and believe you will too.

Love this scene….
He silenced her with a gentle kiss. His lips were warm and cruised over hers with tenderness. But his hands didn’t come around to stroke her; he didn’t press his body closer to hers. He simply took her breath with only a kiss. A slow, careful, patient kiss. A moan escaped her lips, and he stilled. They spent several moments nose to nose, lips to lips, not speaking, and barely breathing.
