goodreads...
Despite the odds, Reed Wolfe is making it, by the skin of her teeth. Her dreams and aspirations will have to wait until she can get on her feet. Because right now she’s homeless and churning on a downward spiral.
Falcon Black is existing. Not living, not thriving, just jutting along a path. But when he finds Reed, he can’t resist the urge to help her, lighten her load. But Falcon tends to go overboard, over the line, crossing boundaries he never thought he would and risking her trust in the process.
Can she accept his love or will it end up smothering her?

My take...
I took my time with this one. I didn't want to rush through the book and be left crying because it was over. Nope, instead I savored it and swam around in it. Fully clothed of course. Hey this is a clean YA read people. Let’s stay focused here. Anyhow, said it before, guess I am meant to say it again. Felix gets better and better with each book. No two books of hers are the same, and the romance is so very swoon worthy.

Wasn't entirely sure how to feel about a guy who was named Falcon at birth. I mean, yeah it’s a cool nickname and all, but will I be able to take him seriously? And for a parent to actually name him that? Well it’s preposterous. But when that boy steps into this book, everything else is forgotten. Who the flip cares if his name is Falcon, Harry, or Otis. Sure the boy goes a little overboard when it comes to those he loves but that’s just it. He loves. And he loves with his whole heart and soul. Here is a little free advice for you teen girls…when a guy loves like Falcon does…just know that he is a keeper.

And then we have Reed. I flat out adored her. In fact I was looking forward to her scenes so much, I started getting a little antsy when I noticed that each chapter was just Falcon for the first little bit. But then again it is Falcon, so you can't really get turned off by that, can you? Nope. Now back to Reed. I was glad to see that Falcon slowly brought her out of her shell; allowing her to be herself, even if she was withholding some truths from him. She goes from being this timid girl to a semi confident lady just days into their relationship. Reed is not 100% confident in herself, but it is one heck of a start. People can’t help but love her when they meet her. Soon Nellie and her become close and Reed ends up helping her through a very tough time. And yes, it is possible to love Nellie even more in this story too. Girl attached herself to our hearts in LOVE AND SKATE and decided she wasn’t done with us just yet.

Oh yeah, if you know Felix, you know there will be romance. That make-you-weak-in-your-knees romance. The leave-you-breathless-wanting-more romance. That never-wanna-leave-this-bed romance. Oh yeah, sweet romance. And I can never get enough of her mad skills. Lady dishes it out and leaves us readers needing more.

My most favorite parts were the start of each paragraph. They were hilarious and sometimes sad. But I loved them all the same. I looked forward to each chapter knowing I was going to get something totally off the wall. And Felix didn’t disappoint.

Please, please read this book. I promise you will love it to pieces. But if you haven’t read LOVE AND SKATE yet, you will want to. Trust me. And Holy Roller Skates is DOWN N' DERBY gonna be awesome. Just sayin!

Fav Lines..

She called me a stiff? I think that's worse than when Nellie calls me a square or a suit. I was a suit. And why in the Hell did I care if some girl called me a stiff? She could take her orange hair and stuff it up her...Oh who was I kidding, I wanted to be her hairbrush.

Fun little Extra...

While getting a dream cast together for my post on the HOW IT ROLLS blog tour (which starts Feb 25th) I got to messing around with Lila. Hang with me, but what if HOW IT ROLLS was cast with dogs?

Well lets see, Reed has orange hair....

even this one is sporting a nice dye job...

Falcon has an adorable mohawk...

But Falcon ain't no small dude, so what about this tough guy?
Yeah that is more like it.

But when you start googling dogs with mohawks you come across crazy crap like this...
It's a freakin possum!! This girl was raised in the  country and knows that ain't cool by any means.

Well I hope you had a good laugh. Lila is probably gonna kill me.
