goodreads...
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.

My take...
What happens when the one night you go skinny dipping alone and you get caught? What happens if the person who catches you is the very guy you've obsessed over the last couple years? What happens if he was nothing like expected? And not in a good way. Meet Juliet. Her first semester in college is not starting off so well. Even if she is in the arms of the guy she has always wanted. Could her very idea of Mr. Right actually be Mr. Way-The-Hell-Wrong?
Here I am sitting here taking a moment to gather my thoughts. This is the 2nd book in 2 days that I have read a book by Ivy. And this is the 2nd book in 2 days that I have read a book by Ivy that has gotten me completely smitten. I absolutely adored THE HAZARDS OF SKINNY DIPPING so very much. Yep, completely, 100% smitten. Now be prepared…I may ramble a bit.
Oh Juliet. Here she was thinking the only guy who could make her happy is Dylan Bradley. But what she doesn't know is that he is nothing like she has imagined over the years. And she is putting up with his crap and his lack of bedroom skills. Why? Because it is something she has been dreaming about for a while: getting Dylan’s attention. And now that she has it she realizes it is not all it’s cracked up to be. In fact it is downright destructive in ways.
Ever had one of those guys before? The type you think is ‘The One’, but it turns out he is really ‘A Dud’. Yeah I knew one like that. We all thought he was the perfect male specimen. Then a friend dated the guy and I got the goods. He wasn't nearly as perfect as we all thought. Dude would have lengthy conversations with his cats and then would want her to participate. Yep, complete turn off. And that is how Dylan is, well minus the cats. He is just a jerk. And it is going to take Juliet some time to realize it.
Why is it that we readers can see how much of a jerk some characters are before the girl does? Dylan was a Class A Prick that deserved the boot a long time ago. But Juliet kept hanging on. Why? Who the flip knows. I was waiting for her breaking point and thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long for it.
Now lets talk about Reed. I heart this guy so much. I love the relationship that he and Juliet share while she is dating Dylan. They have that easy, laid back, fun relationship that only 2 people who are completely comfortable with each other can share. Hello?! Wake up Juliet. This guy is perfect and yet you are still slumming it with Mr. Jerk Off. And the way he is looking out for her the whole time…ah! It stole my heart. He is just so perfect and unfortunately we have to wait for Juliet to come to this realization.
THE HAZARDS OF SKINNY DIPPING has a fun storyline that girls in college will be able to relate too. Once you start the book you are going to find it hard to put down. Hence me devouring it. Yeah, I didn’t want to be gone from these awesome characters any longer than I had to. And let me tell you one other thing…you will never look at pizza sauce the same way again. Just sayin.
Ok, I think I have rambled enough. Pick up THE HAZARDS OF SKINNY DIPPING and let me know what you think.
