Top Five Swoon Worthy couples in Literature
There are so many swoon worthy couples, but here are a few
of my favorites. Some are classical pairs, while others come from more recent
reads.
1) Elizabeth
and Darcy
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I'm a
huge Pride and Prejudice fan. It's got to be one of my all-time favorite
romances. I love the back and
forth and how real it feels. All of the misunderstanding makes it even sweeter
when they finally get together.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of reading about this couple.

Daisy and
Gatsby
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
I'm sure a lot of people would argue with
me here, but I can't make my list without them. They serve as a reminder that
not all romances involve just the couple—and that love can sometimes have long
lasting and even destructive consequences. Daisy and Gatsby are careless and
cause tons of hurt, but ultimately it's because they're in love.
3) Arizona and Kellan
Portal by Imogen Rose
Portal was the book that made me decide to go
Indie, and Arizona and Kellan are a big part of the reason I love the book so
much. I can't say too much without giving away the plot, but they give “friends
to more” new meaning. It’s also a great example of a brother’s best friend
romance. I can’t get enough of either of these types of romances.

Julie and
Matt
Flat- Out Love by Jessica Park.
This was one of my first and favorite New
Adult reads. I love everything about how this relationship built up— even if it
was anything but clear cut. I fell in love with both characters, and I was so
happy to see them together.
5)
Romeo and
Juliet.
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
They are the epitome of star-crossed lovers.
So tragic, but such a beautiful story with a real lesson. I remember reading
the play for the first time in middle school. I spent hours thinking about how
things could have worked out differently. It’s also such a wonderful play to
watch performed.
