Tracey Garvis Graves - and Anna and T.J. - return in this companion novella to the New York Times bestseller On the Island

When twenty-three-year-old dot-com millionaire Owen Sparks walked away from his charmed life, he had one goal in mind: get as far away as possible from the people who resented his success, or had their hand out for a piece of it. A remote uncharted island halfway around the world seemed like a perfectly logical place to get away from it all.

Calia Reed wasn't part of Owen's plans. The beautiful British girl - on holiday in the Maldives with her brother, James - made Owen wonder if getting away from it all might be a lot more enjoyable with a carefree girl who didn't know anything about the life he left behind.

But Owen had no idea how much his carefully detailed plans would go awry. Nor did he realize that a decision he made would have such a catastrophic effect on two passengers who boarded a plane in Chicago.

And when Owen shows up at Anna and T.J.'s door with an incredible story to tell, everyone involved will learn just how much their lives are intertwined.

My  take...
Do you know how wonderful it was to reconnect with T.J. and Anna? It is sooo unbelievably wonderful.  When I read ON THE ISLAND a while back I never thought I'd get over the book hangover I was given when I finished it. But here I am...same boat, different story. Another book hangover.
Owen's life was so much different than what was handed to T.J. and Anna. While they were forced to live upon the island after their plane's crash, Owen chose to go there to live and escape his world. Owen chose to leave his family behind and be his own person. Tired of feeling used he decided he needed to get away indefinitely. And after hearing stories of the Maldives he knew that is where he was supposed to be.
Owen comes to visit T.J. and Anna years after their rescue to let them on how his story and their story entwine. And during his tale we learn of Bones and who he was and how he came to be. And I will tell you this...Owen's story is painfully heartbreaking and utterly beautiful. It is one that will capture your attention and not let go until the end. Even then, you will be left feeling a loss. Like the story really is over. I know I am happy this story got told, but sad because I would love to have more and more from all these characters. So bittersweet.
From the very start, the reader will be taken back to when they first read ON THE ISLAND. Memories will overcome the reader as they remember that amazing story and how it affected them. Emotions will most definitely be felt. When you read ON THE ISLAND, did you feel as if you were right there with them? If not, you were not reading the story right. Because Graves has this God given talent to make the reader FEEL the story as they read it. She knows how to make you believe you are RIGHT THERE with the characters. It really is a fabulous ability that I have found in only a select few authors.
If you read ON THE ISLAND then you are most likely needing a fix. Am I right?  You are probably aching to get your hands on UNCHARTED. Well fear not, you will not be disappointed. UNCHARTED is a quick read but an absolute must read. So thankful I was given the opportunity to review it early. Thank you Graves for another wonderful story that I won't soon forget.
