My take...
It is super hard to start a book that you know
will be the last of a fabulous series. It is even harder to start it when it
begins with such a powerful, heart breaking scene. I forgot the hurt and loss
of the last book, only to be reminded when ENDURE began. Oh my heart! My poor,
sweet Willy.
Lately, some para/supernatural books haven’t been
of interest to me. Only a select few I truly want to read. But the minute I
step into the crazy, demon infested world Merrick has created, I know I am a
goner. I truly love what he writes and would love to one day see it up on the
big screen. Yes, this should definitely happen, like soon.
I will not write a lot about what happens in this
book, because saying even a little will give so much away. Trust me though,
this book was by far my favorite of the series. I think it was everything that
Chase had experienced up until this point. Realizing, finally, that he isn’t
alone in this. He has people he can fall back on and assist him when it is
needed. Ah, my heart is sad thinking about how far he has come since the
beginning. But it is a good sad. Like watching a child grow before your eyes.
I don’t know what it was about this book, but
each and every word held my attention captive. Merrick truly wrote a fantastic
book that ended the series perfectly. Chalked full of action, a side of
romance, and some of the best darn characters you will ever read about…ENDURE
is one of those books that will go down in history as one of my most favorite
ever.
