ENJOYING THE CHASE by Kirsty Moseley {Review/Excerpt/Giveaway}

ETC 2
Nate Peters is living the playboy life. He has great friends, a great job, no responsibilities, no girlfriend, and he loves it. Nate, being incredibly skilled with a pick-up line, has never failed to get a girl in his life… until one day he meets Rosie York. Rosie is completely uninterested in him. Being unable to stand a dented ego, Nate makes it his mission to win her over. Not used to putting in much effort, Nate is surprisingly enjoying the chase of this off-limits little brunette. Maybe he has finally met his match… But Rosie has a few surprises of her own which will make it remarkably more difficult for him to get close to her.

*Please note that this is a companion novel to Nothing Left to Lose*

Overly confident Man-whore Nate sets out to claim Rosie York as his next conquest. But she ain't having none of that. She straight up tells him to move on, because the next guy that she has sex with will be someone she loves. How hard could that be? Nate thinks he has this in the bag until he starts realizing that he actually has feelings for her. Now he has to wonder if he could be the one heartbroken in the end.

The Nate Peters you meet in the beginning of the book is nothing like the Nate Peters in the end. We slowly watch this amazing guy go from spitting out sleazy one liners to spouting words of endearments. Even when he finds out about Rosie's 'baggage' he still sticks around. And that made him even more adorable in my eyes. I loved his relationship with his family, especially his crazy and hilarious mother. It shows that he had a great upbringing and would eventually grow out of his whorish ways.

And Rosie was oak throughout this story. This girl has priorities in her life that a lot of women out there will relate to. It was a refreshing change for me to read about. Not a lot of stories gravitate around that. What is 'that' you might ask? Yeah, I really cannot go into it without divulging a major plot twist. But Moseley did a great job and I applaud her for making Rosie one of the good ones. Sadly there are those out there that would put their own needs in front on others.

Absolutely a fun and enjoyable read with a couple secondary characters you cannot help but love. Future stories? I could see those happening. Would love to see a few get their own book and their own romance. Yes, let’s make this happen Moseley!

As I started the book I was afraid that the story would get a bit redundant and boring as we watched Nate chase Rosie time and time again. Seriously? How many times can we watch Nate get rejected and crash and burn? But with all the other things coming at them from the wayside, I found that the story got better and better as it went on. It was a hard book to put down, but undoubtedly an easy one to start back up again. Now while I didn't like this one as much as NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE (Ashton and Anna's story) I still enjoyed it and absolutely recommend it. 5 smokin’ hot stars!

“Ill see you Friday then.” She bit her lip as she opened the front door, waiting for me to leave.
I gulped, needing to push my luck a little further. “Before I go, I wondered if youd be interested in making a little bet with me.” I raised a challenging eyebrow.
She rolled her eyes, laughing. “Im not betting on how the date is going to end, if thats what this is going to be about.”
“No, actually, I was going to bet you twenty bucks that I could kiss you without using my lips.”
Her nose crinkled up as she frowned. “That’s impossible. You can’t kiss someone without using your lips,” she countered. I waited, letting her think about it while silently praying she hadnt seen this trick before. “Alright, yeah, Ill take that bet,” she suddenly agreed, smiling confidently.
As I took another step towards her, she instantly stepped back and bumped into the wall behind her. I smiled at her deer-trapped-in-the-headlights look. The vulnerability of her and her cute little bewildered expression made my lungs constrict. Unable to keep the smile off my face, I bent my head slowly towards hers. Her breathing sped, but her eyes never left mine. As my lips touched hers, I tried not to moan at the soft feel of them. My whole body was itching to grab hold of her, kiss the life out of her and hear her moan my name. In that moment, I knew I shouldnt have kissed her, because now I didnt want to leave.

I forced myself to pull back after a couple of seconds. “I lost,” I whispered to her obviously shocked face.

Moseley
My name is Kirsty. I was born in Hertfordshire, England. In 2000 I moved to Norfolk, it was there that I met my husband, Lee. Now, what can I say about Lee, apart from everyone should have one? He's my biggest supporter, and I wouldn't be where I am today without his encouragement and endless support. He is my inspiration behind most of my male leads, I always try to bring a little of him in somewhere, be it his kindness, selflessness, or just his ability to make me feel treasured.

In 2005, I was gifted with the birth of my son. He is, and always will be, the best thing I have ever done in my life. As you can probably tell, I'm a very proud mummy.  I have always been interested in writing, but after the birth of my son I accidentally came across an amateur writing site. After a couple of months of just reading on there, I finally plucked up the courage and posted one of my stories. I was shocked and overwhelmed by the support of readers on there and they gave me the confidence to get where I am today. In April 2012, I self-published my first novel ‘The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window’. And in October 2012 I took the plunge again, publishing my second novel, 'Always You.' Lastly, if I had to sum myself up in one word, it would probably be ‘daydreamer’ – but unlike most of my school teachers, I don’t necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, I read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams….
