goodreads...

Zombies- as if that wasn’t enough to ruin any girl’s dream of a happily ever after.

It’s been six months since Reagan Willow fled the Colony and Matthias Allen’s tyrannical clutches. Six months since she broke Hendrix Parker’s heart. Six months since she watched Kane Allen sacrifice his life to save hers.

Whatever was left of her already-tattered life during the Zombie Apocalypse fell apart six months ago. Now, on the cusp of crossing the Mexican border, there is hope that she might lead her friends to a better existence.

Except Zombies are only the beginning of their problems. Reagan and her friends must battle the elements, armies of Feeders and bounty hunters desperate to drag them back to the Colony to face their greatest threat.

The Colony’s power stretches wide and far. Their only hope is to outrun Matthias and get to Mexico.

Love and Decay, Episode One is the first episode in Season Three of a novella series in a Dystopian Romance about Zombies, the end of the world and finding someone to share it with.

This story takes place over multiple episodes, with a release date every two weeks. Approximately 20,000 words.

My take...

Unease and mild terror churned in my stomach. Sometimes it was the not knowing what could happen that was worse than an actual Zombie battle. At least then, in those moments, I was in control of something.
Mainly my weapons.
The waiting game had to be the worst.
***

Well, I for one am glad that the whole gang is back. And I for one am glad to see that not a lot has happened since we last left off with them 6 months ago. I am glad that it has been boring for them and no problems what so ever have plagued their lives. Life is just perfect!

Oh heck! Who am I kidding? Once you get started reading you will most definitely see that a whole lot has gone down since we last heard from Reagan and her crew. My heart goes out to them as they struggle with new responsibilities and threats against them...all with limited resources. Their journey is going to be a rough one but I have faith in them and Higginson that they will make it through to the end.

So that is pretty much all you are getting out of me on this review. If I go into the story any more, plots will be given away and spoilers will be had. I just cannot do that to you. But know there is lots of zombie action within these pages and emotions are running amok! Ah!! It is good to be back!

5 Fleshy Goodness Stars!
