Zombies- as if that wasn’t enough to ruin any
girl’s dream of a happily ever after.
Things have been bad for Reagan and friends, but
Raphael’s slaving camp might top them all. Unsure where Haley and Page were
taken to, and faced with the evil that immediately surrounds her, Reagan is
close to giving up.
This life asks too much of her. This world
demands too high a price.
And yet, sometimes even in the darkest moments
there is light.
Just as Reagan faces yet more territory wars and
an unthinkable bargain, help comes from a very unexpected place. Reagan is
given another chance at freedom.
And maybe another chance to right the mistakes of
her past.
Love and Decay, Episode Five is the fifth episode
in Season Three of a novella series in a Dystopian Romance about Zombies, the
end of the world and finding someone to share it with.
This story takes place over multiple episodes,
with a release date every two weeks. Approximately 20,000 words.
My take...
The man stared at me with his beady eyes gleaming
in the darkness. His lips twisted into a cruel smile and he raised his hands as
if to settle me down.
Didn't he know? He couldn't settle me down. I was
untamable.
I was wild.

Reagan is at her lowest of lows. Death is
imminent. She just watched a fraction of her family get ripped away from her
and all hope seems diminished. Maybe it is time for her to give up and let the
darkness take her. After all, this whole Zombie Apocalypse isn't all it is
cracked up to be.
Absolutely enjoyed this episode. So much action
and fighting. Sometimes a good fight is just what you need in a book, am I
right? Well Higginson delivers that and so much more.
We also see the old Reagan we used to know. The
one before Kane died. The one before her light was snuffed out. She is back and
back with vengeance. Man, have I missed her. Just when you think she is
defeated, she shows her true self and does what she does best...fight for her
life and most of all her family.
Definitely looking forward to what Higginson is
throwing at the Parkers and us readers next. So much can happen. So much can go
wrong!! 5 Action Packed Stars!
