goodreads...

Zombies- as if that wasn’t enough to ruin any girl’s dream of a happily ever after.

Reagan and friends have worked hard to survive Mexico. They fought warlords and cannibals, slave traders and Matthias Allen. They fought and they survived.

Colombia is closer than ever, and with it their dream for a better, safer life. But first they have to make it through Mexico City, a huge metropolis rife with civil war, intelligent Feeders like they have never seen and danger around every turn.

As Reagan’s wounds heal and the Parkers look to the future, their close family is threatened yet again. But there’s more to life than fighting Zombies. There’s more to their world than decay.

Love and Decay, Episode Ten is the tenth episode in Season Three of a novella series in a Dystopian Romance about Zombies, the end of the world and finding someone to share it with.

This story takes place over multiple episodes, with a release date every two weeks. Approximately 20,000 words.

My take...

We should have been more prepared, especially with our history. Truthfully, we had actually tried to come into this city with guns blazing and our heads on straight. We had game-planned and strategized. We had picked up as many weapons as we could along the way. It just wasn't enough.
There was no way to prepare for this amount of carnage. Seriously. No way.

Once again, The Parkers and Reagan are venturing into a city full of unknown and uncertainty. They are to find Tomas and hopefully, with his help, get through Mexico City intact and unharmed as they make their way to Columbia. Just when they think they are doomed for good...well, they just might be.

Three-fourths of this story is all out crazy. The stuff they see when they reach the city is beyond devastation. It is by far the worst they have ever seen before. It is just death upon death, dead upon dead. But the last fourth of the book is where sweet overcomes it all. You fans of the series are going to flat out love what comes in the end. Things happen that we haven't gotten to appreciate in some time: love, romance, and being happy.

I do, however, think all the sweet is trying to make you forget the ugly that is sure to come. We are living in the zombie world now and nothing is a sure thing. If we have learned anything since the beginning, it is that.

I have said it before, I will say it again...this series is one of my all-time favorites and I can never get enough. 5 Stars All the Way!

Zombies- as if that wasn’t enough to ruin any girl’s dream of a happily ever after.

Reagan and friends have found sanctuary with Tomás. The cathedral offers protection from Zombies and a place to rest and recuperate.

But what happens when the outside world follows you inside?

There is a greater hazard to the Parker family than Feeders and warlords. The evil at the end of the world has sunk its claws into one of the brothers and threatens to tear the family apart.

Reagan must decide what’s best for the people she loves and find them safety, the kind that lasts. The kind of safety that will keep them together.

Love and Decay, Episode Eleven is the eleventh episode in Season Three of a novella series in a Dystopian Romance about Zombies, the end of the world and finding someone to share it with.

This story takes place over multiple episodes, with a release date every two weeks. Approximately 20,000 words.

My take…

Maybe there was something errantly wrong with me. Maybe I didn’t have the ability to function in reality. Maybe the idea of a place to live where Feeders couldn’t touch us and warlords didn’t try to sell us, where evil tyrants didn’t hunt us and cannibals didn’t try to eat us, was too sweet to pass up. Maybe I was too lazy and naïve to let my childish dreams go. Maybe I still believed in love in this world of decay and happiness in a place that was rotting from the inside out.
Maybe I still believed in happily ever after.

Reagan has come to realize it is time to pack up and move out. Mexico City has been nothing but a nightmare for them and it is time to move on and put some distance between them and this hell on earth.

This is one of those “Shake your fist at the heavens” episodes. One of those “You got to be kidding me” episodes. Seriously. You got to be kidding me. I am really not sure what all I can say or will be able to say. I don’t want to give much away, but if you are current on the episodes you most likely know what is to come. Prepare yourself now. Grab the tissues. Secure a good reading spot. Ready yourself for the feels. This is one powerful and emotional read!

My heart is torn, the tears are flowing, and I am wondering if the group will be able to recover from this mess they have found themselves in. 5 Heartbreaking Stars!
