Secrets are exposed, trust is betrayed and two people face the beauty of lies.
Leo Jensen has a secret–he is Mr. Expose, a blogger that reveals the truth about liars and frauds. It’s a way to make a living, and he’s had a motherlode of experience with liars. Cheaters. Women who live for drama and carry more hidden baggage than a Boeing 747. Even his twin sister can’t seem to admit the truth about her relationships, so finding an honest woman is about as likely as finding a unicorn in the middle of Nashville.
Harper Wade wishes life had a do-over button. She’d press that sucker and reset the last four years. Now, she has the chance to start fresh and make things right, but first she has to retrieve the damning evidence of her past from an annoying blogger. She’s doing all the things she knows she shouldn’t–breaking and entering, lying by omission, falling for the hot guy next door. Too bad he holds the key to her clean slate.
Purchase:
Harper is stalking Leo in order to get something back from him. Something
that could be very damaging if it got out. What better way to get something
back than to get to know the enemy? But what if you end up falling for him in
the mean time? Oh things get real complicated, real fast.
I read this book until I couldn't read it no more. Meaning I read it until
I was done. Finished. Complete. It was a fantastic book and we even get to see
a character from one of her other series: Gunner. (Psst...I am looking forward
to his story so much.) But here I was inhaling the story and adoring these
characters. Yep, this book was the total package for me. Its blurb was one that
attracted me to the story but the writing kept me hooked the whole time.
Berry came up with a fun, ingenious plot that at first I wondered if she
could pull it off. Oh me of little faith. Oh course she could pull it off and
then some. This story was just so amusing and sweet I couldn't help but read,
read, read. And the romance had me falling in love right along with the characters.
How could you not? It was absolutely perfect!
So not only am I falling for the romance…I am falling for characters. Even
with Harper in the wrong with her actions, I still cared about whether or not
she got her card back from Leo. I still wanted them to fall madly and
hopelessly in love with each other and let the past be damned. But that
freaking past has a way of ruining even the best of romances. Maybe, just
maybe, they will be able to work through all the lies and the hurts.
Readers, listen up! This is one book you will not want to pass up. It is
the perfect, romantic read and I am just smitten with it. Get it today and see
why I thought so highly of it and this author. 5 Stars!
Brinda Berry lives in the southern US with her family. Brinda is obsessed with cairn terriers, Kings of Leon, new technology and sandy beaches. She’s also terribly fond of chocolate, coffee, and books that take her away from reality.
This sounds perfectly romantic and right up my alley, too! Great review, Mandy! Glad you liked it! :)
