goodreads...
It’s not easy being a badass Zombie killer. But somebody’s got to do it.

Page Parker is on the brink of the fate she’s claimed. With her toes pressed against the Mexican/American border, she’s ready to wage the war she’s been waiting for.

Matthias Allen and the Colony are waiting for her on the other side. She just has to step across.

Only it’s not that simple. She has a family to protect and loved ones to think about. She’s responsible for lives and families. She has a boy at her side willing to fight with her, but Miller is battling darker demons than Zombies and tyrants. There is something inside him that terrifies her… warns her to keep him as far from his dad as she can.

Her life swirls around her in chaos and confusion. But one thing remains clear, Luke is waiting for her. She’s vowed to free the people of her homeland and she cannot go back on that now.

But at what cost?

Will destroying the Colony come at the price of destroying her family?

Destroying Miller?

My take...

This was our mission. This was our fate. We would bring America back to that glory. And if we couldn't quite reach that high precipice, then we would do what we could. But one thing would be true, every man, woman, and child would be free. Free to fight. Free to live.
Free to...be.
***

Page is looking at what is left of the US. A world she hasn't been to in a decade. A world now ruled by the very man they plan to kill. A world she wants to make whole again. If only they can cross over and get to Luke before they are found or worse...killed. Not to mention, she'd like to see where this new thing with Miller will go. Can she help him keep to the light? Or will his darkness spillover before they get a chance to really start?

I told Higginson, when she mentioned she needed some extra time to get this one done, that it would all be fine as long as she threw in some extra Miller time. And of course she listens to me. She always does. So what did we have in this episode? Extra. Miller. Time! Wooo! Things heat up rather quickly in this one so come prepared. You are going to love it if you are a Miller fan.

It also gets pretty crazy rather quickly, too. Everything happens so fast towards the end half you better be ready. Higginson did another fantastic job with this episode and I can only sit here- impatiently, I might add -waiting for the next one. I am holding my breath as I wonder what Luke's presence will mean for Miller, Page, and the future.

5 Action Packed, Romance Filled Stars!
