5*Reviews: HEAVEN IN HELL Episodes 5 & 6 by Dia Cole

Title: Heaven in Hell #5

Goodreads…

Hidden truths are unspoken lies…
Lee, with no memory of her last mission, is struggling to understand her new abilities and terrifying cravings. Instead of providing answers, Dominic accuses her of betrayal and maintains an icy distance. With danger mounting both inside and outside the safe house, Lee must choose between her conflicting feelings for the lethal sergeant and saving an innocent from a fate worse than death.

My quick take...

Please don’t read if you have yet to read the first four. My review will contain spoilers for those books.

When she should be dead, Lee wakes up back at the safe house. With no memories of the last mission, what happened to Eden, or what transpired between her and Dominic, Lee’s top priority is protecting Reed and hoping for Eden’s return.

Guys! I am not sure I can handle Lee not remembering everything that happened in the last 4 episodes. Just when I was hoping for a less intense read to mellow out for a moment, the intensity ramps up. It was a lot for such a short book. They have all been that way. Packed full of fight, emotion, and pain. And love. Cannot forget love.

Secrets withheld, zombies ambushing, and emotions in chaos, HEAVEN IN HELL just keeps getting better and better. 5 Stars!

Title: Heaven in Hell #6

Goodreads…

The battle for survival starts from within…
Furious with Reed and Dominic for their betrayal, Lee attempts a dangerous solo mission to rescue an abducted child. Tensions explode when the men insist on accompanying her deep into zombie territory. Unsure of who she can trust, Lee discovers they aren't the only ones after the little girl and those hunting her are far more terrifying than the dead.

My quick take…

Lee knows she has to find Rosie before it is too late. Throwing all worries for her own safety out the window, she leaves the safe house in search of her. More than the undead awaits her outside the fence of the school...truth does. Lies withheld are revealed and she has to decide how to handle everything being hurled at her.

Although I was a little saddened by the memories Lee has lost, especially her memories with Dominic, I am actually enjoying see Lee discover new things about herself. I also like seeing Dominic a little rattled by her amnesia. You can tell the snottier he is to her and even Reed, that it is tearing him up inside. And that tells me he loves her sincerely. Once again, 5 Stars!
