Desperate to break free…

I've spent my entire life under my father’s thumb, but now I'm finally free to make my own choices. When my roommate dragged me to my first college party, I met Finn Coram and my life turned inside out. He knows how to break the rules and is everything I never knew I wanted. A Marine by day and surfer by night, he pushes me away even as our attraction brings us closer. Now I am finally free to do whatever I want. I know what I want. I choose Finn.

Trying to play by the rules...

I always follow orders. My job, my life, depends on it. I thought this job would be easy, all the rules were made crystal clear, but when I met Carrie Wallington, everything got muddy. She's a rule I know I shouldn't break, but damn if I don’t inch closer to the breaking point each time I see her. I’m ready to step out of line. And even worse? I’m living a lie. They say the truth will set you free, but in my case…

The truth will cost me everything.

My take...
Key word of the day? LOVE. You will probably see it a lot in this review.

First and foremost....I loved this book. Like Love Loved it!! It had everything I wanted in a good book. It had the characters I love, a storyline that screamed trouble, and the romance I crave. Lots of steamy, forbidden, pent up romance. This author definitely has me hooked on this series and I am impatiently waiting for more. I will be on the lookout for more of her work, too.
I knew the minute I started it I was going to love these characters.  Take for instance Carrie. Even with how she was raised, she wasn't your typical spoiled brat. Her parents raised her right, although albeit over protectively. Carrie is sweet, kind, and always thinking of others. But she is still just a girl looking to find herself out and away from her father's shadows. And then enters Finn.
Yes, Finn. Love this guy something fierce and love that he was absolutely infuriating, always trying to pick on Carrie (in a fun, flirty way). He definitely brings out her feisty side that is for sure. But these two together was explosive and fun and intense. They had such a wonderful connection and energy from the start and it remained as they battled through the rough parts. Even through it all, the energy stayed a constant, ever present force between the two of them. They could deny it all they wanted, but it was there. Front and center.
And what can I say about this story line? Well, I can tell you I loved the whole idea from the start to ending. Yes, I even loved the ending. Yes, I do realize it was a huge cliffhanger...but knowing there is more to come, well, I am ok with that. What I am not ok with is having to wait so long. Not a fan of cliffys? Maybe you should wait closer to the 2nd book's release so you can go straight in to it once you finish this one. Speaking of book 2…I am so scared for these two. Once you finish you will understand. So much can happen in that one with all they have to face. One being her father and another centers around the cliffhanger. I am scared but hoping for the best that it will all work out in the end. Must keep the faith.
Would I recommend this book to you? Abso-frickin-lutely!! I'd be a fool to deny others of this amazing, infuriating, romantic story. So get out there and getcha some. Then you can thank me later.

Guess what? I decided to give one lucky winner an ebook.
