1. Who is your favorite band?
I change favorites in music like underwear, literally. Today it's San Cisco. I'm a huge fan of alternative music but pretty much amything goes as long as it is inspiring. Music helps me write.
2. What is your favorite season?
Summer, definitely summer. I teach by day so summer allows me to write by day and night!
3. What was your worst vacation?
This is a funny question because there has only been one...picture 2 adults, 4 children in a Buick Riviera. The year hmmm, let's just say I was 12. We drove from Illinois to Florida, non-stop. My brother still teases me to this day about my upset stomach that emptied the car. I'm sure you get the picture. :)
4. What is your guilty pleasure?
As boring as it sounds, books, I read anything and everything, if I'm not writing or busy with kids, I'm always reading. Guilty and pleasure come in though when the genre is New Adult.
5. Who is your favorite author?
This one goes more along the lines of most inspiring. Hands down Abbi Glines because she was the first Indie author I read. Learning about her journey in the Indie world inspired me to do what I had only dreamed of doing, becoming an author.
6. What is one item you cannot live without?
Coffee...need I say more?
7. What is your hobby?
This is a hard one because besides running three kids everywhere around town and teaching, there's not much time. Writing would be the answer to this one even though it's quite more than just a hobby.
8. What is your favorite movie?
The Italian Job...love me some Marky Mark!
9. What is your favorite food?
I love sushi. I could survive on sushi but it's indulgance.
10. who would you like to meet? (dead or alive?)
Abraham Lincoln...he changed history...someone who can do that is really worth meeting.
Ever Harding used to believe in love. That is until she was left heartbroken by the only person she ever really loved, Jack, the mysterious boy from her history class. Little did she know he was born of the sea, on land to watch over her. But was he really? She made the ultimate sacrifice, to live in the sea as a mermaid, for Jack and for love. But she found that in the end, that love wasn't enough.
Now she finds herself alone, having to make a huge choice. She must decide whether to defend others against the choices she has made or fight for the freedoms of a population, she has just become a part of.
Ever's brother James, became a part of the sea not by any choice of his own, but he is willing to embrace it as long as a certain long legged, beauty is by his side. But as his sister found, things are not always as they seem.
In the end what they feared the most comes to reality, the battle, waged between staying true to life in the sea or changing a race of people to become more powerful and diverse. Will Ever and James survive the lines drawn in the sand or will they have to battle each other for what they believe?
Little do they know the battle in the end, will be something entirely different than what they were ready for.
I have read amazing things about these books :)
