Lacey is desperately trying to make her flight so she can be with Juliet for her wedding on Christmas Day.
But a blizzard delays her flight from making its destination. Now
she is stuck at an airport hotel with no car rentals available. Fortunately she
isn't alone. Oh no! She happens to be holed up with Daniel, Juliet's ex, and Lacey's
crush. A chance encounter at LAX had them sharing the same flight out. When a
game of truth or dare gets, well daring, they throw all inhibitions to the wind
and lose their selves in each other. But will they feel the same in the light
of day?
Although she hasn't seen him in some time, the
feelings are still there. Yes, she feels like a horrible BFF for ever having
feelings for her best friend’s boyfriend, there are codes about this sort of
thing. But Lacey has always knew that she would never stand a chance with him
anyhow. She is the party girl type...he is into the good girl type. It was definitely
one sided feelings. Or is it? The looks he is giving her don't seem brotherly,
they are full of lust. Maybe, just maybe, she does have what it takes to capture
Daniel's attention. But for how long?
This short novella was the perfect read. I can't
tell you how much I enjoy revisiting Beachwood Bay and hearing about all the
people that call it home. Sure the majority of this one took place outside of
Beachwood Bay, but all our old favorites were still there in the end. Grace is
a fantastic author and her characters from this series are some of my most
favorites ever. They are endearing yet troubled. The perfect double whammy
for a story.
An excellent short read that will have you hooked just
pages into the story. You will want to read this one to see if Lacey gets her
Merry Christmas and happily ever after.
