I adored this book. From start to finish I was captivated by all things Hadley. I was intrigued with this proper speaking girl from another world. Who is she? What is she doing here? I had to know.

From the start we are brought into the mix the moment Hadley saves Elijah from a certain death. First of all, he shouldn't have been able to see her to begin with. Second of all, Elijah has something epically huge revealed to him, leaving him questioning his entire life. What does this mean for him? Will this finally be his chance to leave small town Lincoln? Or has so much changed in a short period of time, leaving him wanting to stay? Poor kid is only 16 and has the world set upon his shoulders. Choices will have to be made. Lives will be at risk. And deception is sure to rear its ugly head.

Elijah is one of those laid back guys that one day snaps. Seriously. He has had it with his girlfriend, had it with is controlling mother, and just needs his own life once and for all. He is 16 for crying out loud. So he ends up reinventing himself. Wants to go by 'Wes' now. And is counting down the days until he can high tail it out of here. All in all, I adored him. I loved him stepping up and taking control of his life and putting his mother in her place.

Hadley doesn't understand a lot about Earth's way of life. It is the complete opposite of the way she was raised. The way we talk confuses her, the food we eat sends her taste buds into food bliss, and now she is developing these feelings for this Earth boy Wes. But she has a mission to do. She came here for a reason and needs to prove to her father she has what it takes. So everything else aside, she sets out to complete the mission and get back home.

I loved the whole book, but I do believe my favorite was the last few chapters. So much happens!! What is Allen doing? Where is she taking this book? I was entranced with it all. I greedily read until the end and was downright bamboozled. Heck yeah. I am ready for the next and she hasn't even written it yet.

Absolutely recommend!! YA/Paranormal still lives and this book is the proof! 5 Out of This World Stars!
