When the elders imprisoned Metis, they took every precaution to protect the Estilorian plane against her evil.

It wasn’t enough.

Now she’s escaped, and no one is safe. Fueled by hatred, she wastes no time imposing vengeance on those who captured her. She knows the surest way to destroy their lives is by taking what they love most, and she begins with a child named Eden.

Years later, Eden remembers none of her former life. She serves her “Master,” unaware of the family still searching for her. But as her eighteenth birthday approaches, memories begin to surface, and she questions her circumstances for the first time.

Eden’s confusion mounts when she’s joined by Connor, a handsome Elphresti male who reveals things that shatter her reality. They’ll end up on the run, knowing they can trust only each other. After all, Metis will stop at nothing to get them back, and she thrives on her ability to deceive.

1.       What would you be doing right now if you were not an author?
I work full-time as the Director of Operations for an event planning company, so I suppose I’d be doing that, and I’d actually have time in the evenings and on weekends to spend time with my family and watch these “TV shows” everyone else talks about. lol

2.       5 years ago: what were you doing?
Back in 2010, I was one year into my event planning career. I had been working on the Daughters of Saraqael trilogy, and finally had it polished up enough that I started submitting it to literary agents. After about a year, I decided to venture out into indie publishing instead.

3.       Do you have a certain writing ritual?
I suppose I do! I start with a really detailed outline, which takes anywhere from 1-2 months. Then I start actually writing the book, which usually takes between 5-6 weeks. From there, the editing begins, and it then goes to my beta readers before it’s finalized. While I’m actually writing, I listen to music on Spotify and light a candle because I love the ambience and scent. My favorite right now is Pink Sands by Yankee Candle.

4.       What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author?
Since I write romance, I’ve seen a number of reviews that mention the level of “steam” in my books. Some people comment on my YA books that they’re not steamy enough…one person went so far as to say they should be middle grade books (even though my characters have sex, it just fades to black). On my NA books, I’ve had some readers say they wanted more steam, and another say she felt it read like porn. LOL I’ve really just learned that you’ll never appeal to everyone, and write what works for you.

5.       Is there an author you'd like to meet?
I’d love to meet Nora Roberts. She’s my idol!

6.       Biggest writing pet peeve?
Cliffhangers.

7.       Do you read other's reviews of your books?
On book retail sites, I do. I find them helpful in gauging where I’m at on writing what my readers want. On Goodreads, I try to avoid reading reviews.

8.       Fav Color?
It’s a tie between blue and purple.

9.       Fictional Character you'd like to spend the day with?
Captain Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly. *fans self* lol Even my hubby understands that fictional crush!

10.   Fav food?
I LOVE Mexican food!

11.   Fav song and/or singer?
My favorite song changes by the week. Currently, it’s “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten. I love Maroon 5, Pink, and Fla-Ga Line, among many other artists.

12.   Guilty pleasure?7:0 a
American Idol. I don’t get much TV viewing time, but I make time for AI!
