Thirty-something Amie Wilson lives a simple life grooming dogs. Being hearing impaired and a single mom life isn't always easy, but she manages. She never expected to win tickets to her daughter's favorite band, but when backstage passes lands her face to face with the lead singer, Rob Robertson, life takes an unexpected turn.
At twenty five, Rob Robertson is living the dream. With his band at number one, he should be happy. But he feels out of place, like something is missing in his life. When Amie walks onto his tour bus, he's immediately drawn to her and everything he wants in life suddenly becomes clear to him. He wants to date the beautiful mother but she keeps making excuses as to why a relationship between them won't work.
Living in two vastly different worlds, they both struggle to embrace their love, but Amie's insecurities become overwhelming by a mysterious visit to the hospital and Rob's new career. Will they be able to hold on as their love spirals like a roller coaster or will their love derail?

My take...

Who knew that a chance encounter would lead to something more? Certainly not Amie Wilson. But when she is able to take her daughter to her favorite boy band concert, something more absolutely happens. There she meets Rob and feels an instant connection. But life finds ways of interfering and causing trouble for the two. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles constantly showing up in their way? Or would it be best to just throw in the towel and settle for what is easy and familiar? Hating to leave the comfort zone she has known for 14 years, Amie has to decide just that. But we all know that old saying, “What the heart wants…”

This book was so very cute and I had a hard time putting it down. Even now that I have finished I want to pick it back up and see what happens. But I can't! I have to wait until the end of the year when she is ready to release book 2 of the series. So yeah, it does end on a sorta cliffhanger, but some questions do get answered before it does. Think of it as an ending that is churning up a new storyline. Does that even make since?

Any who, I adored Rob and Amie. Yes, even through all their bickering and her constant questioning of their relationship. I was happy to read of a character that is exactly like her: REAL! Sometimes she could be a little too real. *snickers* Once you read the book you will totally understand. But that is what you get when you read one of Wilsoncroft’s books; you get the real deal and relatable characters. You get women who are not the model types and come with everyday problems. But you get the romance too. Such a roller coaster of a romance.

Fun and flirty, sweet and sexy...this book has it all. Readers are going to inhale what Wilsoncroft has written. 5 I’m Oh So Smitten Stars!
