5* Review: FOREVER LIES by Jill Ramsower

Title: Forever Lies

Author: Jill Ramsower

Source: eARC from Netgalley for review

Goodreads...

Luca was heartache waiting to happen.

On the surface, he appears well-dressed and professional, but behind those impassive black irises, I can sense something dark and ruthless. He’s unlike any man I’ve come across in my life. With my wealthy upbringing, I’ve been around any number of affluent, powerful men, but Luca is different. Enigmatic. Overwhelming. He wears an air of secrecy like the latest fashion trend.

I’m not one of those girls who seeks out the bad boy—I have enough issues to deal with in my life without adding his brand of trouble. Problem is, a chance elevator malfunction put me straight in his crosshairs, and now, he won’t let me walk away. The most disturbing part—no matter how dangerous he may be, there’s a mutinous side of me that doesn’t want to run. As if I ever had a choice…

My take...

FOREVER LIES was forever amazing. I happened upon this book and this new to me author on Facebook about a week ago. I have recently fallen in love with all things mafia and the blurb seized me. I knew I had to read it. So I immediately ran to netgalley in search of an ARC. And guess who was approved? Yup.

I was a mess of emotions just as Alessia was. What she felt,I felt. I kept trying to reason everything she did. It was nice being in the same mindset as a character; to have that connection.

Ramsower, you wrote an extraordinary, heart wrenching story. I was sad when it was over but I pray you are going to write more of Luca and Alessia. I need more of them. They completely owned me the entire time I was reading their story and long after it was over. Is it too soon for a re-read? 5 Stars!!
