MY SISTER'S REAPER Blog Tour {Top 10 & Giveaway}

Dorothy Dreyer has always believed in magic. She loves reading, writing, movies, and spending time with her family and friends. Half-American and half-Filipino, Dorothy lives in Germany with her husband and two children.

1. fav movie/actor/actress?
I'm really fond of Ewan McGregor. If you've seen Moulin Rouge, you might agree with me. Or maybe it's just my weakness for Scottish guys. And maybe that's why I love the movie so much too, aside from the wonderful way the director depicted musical comedy. As far as actresses go, I love Emma Stone. She really has a way of coming across the screen in every role she plays.

2. fav song/singer?
In my teen and early twenties, I grew especially sentimental to Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence. Once I watched Moulin Rouge, I couldn't get enough of Come What May. As for a more modern song, I really like Christina Perri's A Thousand Years. Don't get me wrong; I like fast songs too. These just found a special place in my heart.

3. fav place you would love to visit?
I would love to visit New Zealand. Every picture I've ever scene of NZ has been absolutely beautiful. I know people who've been there, and they've also said how great it is.

4. one item you cannot live without?
My computer. It's so sad, I know. But I can't deny the connection I have with the outside world when I have the internet at my hands. That said, I do like to go outside when it's nice out ... but then I need my phone. ;)

5. who would you like to meet?(dead or alive)
JK Rowling. How cool would that be? Although I might make her crazy when I never stop talking about her books. Other than her, I wouldn't say no to meeting Johnny Depp!

6. fav hobby?
Well, I love to read. I love slipping into worlds created by other writers and getting to know characters that live in other people's heads. But other than that, I also crochet. I'm making a blanket for my bed now, it should be done by Christmas ... 2014, lol.

7. guilty pleasure?
Karaoke! When I was younger, I wanted to be a singer. I was in choir and high school musicals and such. I even won a couple karaoke contests in bars. But I figured out that I didn't have it in me to sing more than three songs on stage before my voice gave out. So that dream sort of faded away. Hence, karaoke. I can sing one or two songs on stage and be done with it. ;)

8. fav author and/book?
I'm really into the Divergent series right now. Veronica Roth is awesome. I've read the first two books in the series and am anxious to get my hands on the third book later this year.

9. do you collect anything?
I did collect oriental fans for a while. I don't really have that many, but I have some from different places. My husband travels a lot, and I used to ask him to bring me back a fan. I hung a few on the wall at home, but now I've sort of forgotten about collecting them. Maybe I should move on to something more practical, like shoes!

10. pet peeve?
Rude people. I hate when someone doesn't use manners -- or thinks they're too important to use them. I don't mean that people have to be all prissy. But have some respect. Treat others like you want to be treated. This world might be a better place if we'd all learn to be a little more polite. ;)

There’s bragging, there’s trying to impress a boy, and then there’s Sixteen-year-old Zadie. Zadie’s first mistake was telling the boy she’s crushing on that she could bring her dead sister back to life. Her second mistake? Actually doing it! When Zadie accidentally messes with the Reaper’s Rite that should have claimed her sister Mara, things go horribly wrong (you think?). Mara isn’t the same anymore—Zadie isn’t even sure she’s completely human, and to top it off, a Reaper is determined to collect Mara’s soul no matter what. Now Zadie must figure out how to defeat her sister’s Reaper, intent on claiming both girls, or let Mara die … this time for good.
